http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balut
A Balut is a fertilized duck (or chicken) egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled alive and eaten in the shell. They are considered delicacies of Asia and especially the Philippines, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Popularly believed to be an aphrodisiac and considered a high-protein, hearty snack, balut are mostly sold by street vendors at night, mostly, in the regions where they are available. They are often served with beer. The Filipino and Malay word balut (balot) roughly translates to mean "wrapped".
Yup. Though to be fair, I've eaten it since I was a child in the Philippines so it was never "strange" to me. I haven't had it in a long while now but I remember them as being delicious ... duck soup ... but crunchy.

They featured it as one of the gross-out foods on "Fear Factor" once and I thought, "Wussies."

What the ...?

Did you and a friend collide while carrying your open lunch boxes or something? LOL

How did that combination come to be?

And yeah, Balut is definitely an acquired taste, I'm sure. Tell you what, I'll try your sandwich if you try a Balut. LOL.

Acutually the smashing lunch boxes didnt happen...but drugs did.
When you have the munchies lots of stuff gets eaten, few are actually tastey.
I would like to state for the record that I dont use any forms of mind or mood altering chemicals havent in years, almost 13.
But...many moons ago I did and that was when the collision of strange flavors happened.
Peanut butter and hot pepper jelly with bacon is also DELICIOUS!!!!
No deal on the duck embryo's :o

I think peanut butter might be good on ANYTHING. I'll have to try a few combinations.

As for the strangest food I've ever eaten: My college roomate was Cambodia and she was always bringing around all sorts of things that I was not used to. One afternoon she had this stuff that looked like thick cubes of jell-o or the conisistency of tofu. Turns out it was pigs blood! I don't remember what she called it or what made it look like jell-o but I tried it. I'll try ALMOST anything. It was salty. Another day she had eggs that still had the chicks in them and was drinking out of them-that was one thing I couldn't even think about trying. A little less strange thing I tried last weekend was gator bites. They had them fried up like popcorn chicken at this blues club I was at. They really did taste like chicken-then they had a bad after taste.

I've heard that peanut butter and bacon can work. ESPN Radio yesterday had Golic talking about trying a peanut butter and bacon pizza. No marinara sauce, just smooth peanut butter and crispy bacon. He however thought it was awful while I was mildly intrigued.

Toss up between grubs from the forest or barbecue chicken feet (Dim Sum style). Not much else, unless you count a regular penchant for consuming chicken gizzards strange.

A Peanut butter, Butter and salsa sandwhich. I was a younger kid when I did this. It does not make a good sandwhich and my reaction was not really that pretty either.
