Counting steps guy in Pennsylvania

Those local "mayors" of your town. The ones that every knows, the odd balls that roam your streets.

Counting steps guy in Pennsylvania

Growing up in Lewistown PA we had a guy who would walk around town and suddenly stop and go back to where he started from and begin walking again. We would see him everywhere in town walking. The story was that he was in a unit from WW2 that detected landmines in Europe. I was told he would count his steps and if he lost count he would go back and start again. I felt bad for him, he looked like a confused homeless dude.
