Just though it would be a cool show theme. You guys can talk about the origin of vampires also why garlic is a repellent why they dont have a reflection and also why they cant be in sunlight. Also a little something on Vlad the Impaler.

Does everyone have a favorite vampire novel/movie?

My favorite vampire book would be Salem's Lot, but movies are tougher. I enjoyed John Carpenter's Vampires a lot. I say that one.

A vampire tale that all kids up with in the Philippines was about the ASWANG (pronounced ahs-WAHNG) which was supposed to be a shapeshifter that inhabited and overtook a body. When it went to feed, it would tear off the top half of the host's body, sprout giant bat-like wings and fly thru the night looking for babies upon which to feast. Of course, we were told it ate bad children only and with the flocks of bats that flew thru the night sky, you didn't take the chance of being bad in case one of them was really the Aswang on the hunt.
