hey, just wanted to share a tale from NH, seeing as there isn't really any.
Thomas Boise, a teamster from Woodstock, New Hampshire, sought shelter under a large boulder in Franconia Notch, NH, when a blizzard in the early 1800's blocked passage for him and his horse on the Notch road. Killing his horse, Boise skinned it and wrapped himself in its hide. Searchers found him under the rock the next day and had to cut away the frozen hide which had saved his life.
there's a plaque on the rock but it's a little hard to see. boise is pronounced boyce. thomas boise was my great-great-great grandfather (i think that's all the greats lol).
