On july 13th 1957 35 people died of shock and excitement and another 300 were injured.
About 22,000 residence fled the area.
The cause....an imaginary nuclear attack.
The air raid signal was given and the rest is history.
The mock hydrogen bomb was dropped in nearby Derby Ct.
