Finally back with more...
My mom and her brother (my uncle) lived in Walled Lake, MI (they were closer to Novi) for most of their childhood/ adolescence. My uncle was a trouble maker and used to roam all around and usually ended up either far from home or somewhere he wasn't supposed to be. On such an occasion when he was a teenager, he came to a clearing near Walled Lake, in which there is said to be a wall built by Native Americans a very long time ago, literally, I'm not kidding...I think divers actually found it...anyway, my uncle was at this clearing thing and it was just after sunset. My uncle (I think) was with friends and they heard a noise while they were goofing around. My uncle turned around and saw a tall Indian chief behind him and he started being chased by it. He (my uncle) swears that after being chased for a while, the Indian chief eventually disappeared into the thin air he came from...My uncle later found out that the clearing he was at was an Indian burial ground and is said to be haunted by the tribe's last great chief!
P.S. While I was on vacation in Saugatuck, I saw a plaque on a rock that says:
"In Memory of the First Indian Burial Ground"
