DESIGN THE HOMETOWN TALES CHEESEBURGER!

OK gang, Hometown Tales is going to be at the Fireside on April 18th and apparently there will be a special Hometown Tales cheeseburger on the menu. Gene hasn't decided what that will be yet so I think WE should decide it for him.

Post your ideas here for what you think is THE quintessential Hometown Tales cheeseburger. Gene and Bryan reserve the right to callously ignore all our suggestions of course.

For me, there is only one cheeseburger that can be the official Hometown Tales cheeseburger:

Sadly, I will not be able to attend cheeseburger Friday but I'm intrigued to see the culinary masterpieces (and monsterpieces) that this group will concoct!

Ok, I LOVE this one. Two patties, melted Swiss cheese in between, with sautéed onions, green bell peppers and mushrooms on top with more Swiss cheese and Heinz 57 sauce. You could also do Provolone. Just on a side note, I sautéed the same and put it on a chili dog with Cheddar, mustard and ketchup and it was wonderful!

I believe the Fireside does have Jeof's on the menu. I think it's called a Jersey burger !!

How about this. You have two burger patties you use pepper jack cheese and BBQ sauce and a few slices of bacon.

Sauteed, chopped morels mixed into ground chuck, on garlic toasted thick french bread (like fancy Texas Toast) with a slab of melted Irish Cheddar. All it needs is home-made mayo and a slice of red onion or some ramps.

1 pound of NJ beef
4 oz of WI Cheese (1 slice of sharp cheddar, 1 slice of pepper jack, 1 slice of swiss, 1 slice of gouda)
1 slice of thick sliced 'Irish' (back) bacon for each year that HT Podcast has been broadcasting from NC
3 tbsp. of Hellman's Mayonaise mixed with, NM chile powder, tabasco from LA
4 thick slices of FL roma tomato
4 hearty leafs of iceberg lettuce from AZ
7 sweet gherkin pickle slices from Freestone in ME
1/5 of an avocado from CA
put it all on a Blue Ribbon Market bun from NY

Has a little bit of everything in it, but hey I thought I would give this one a shot.
